Lincoln Business Improvement Group (Lincoln BIG) exists in its own right as a company, with its own legal identity and control. Lincoln BIG trades as a business to deliver services with any profits made being ploughed back into delivering the overall business improvement district aims.

The company was formed by adapting the existing City Centre Partnership company because this can offer a track record and experience in delivering Town Centre Management initiatives.

The Lincoln BIG board completely controls business improvement district activities and funding and will undertake on-going consultation with businesses, who directly appoint the greatest proportion of directors.

All businesses in the business improvement district will be eligible to join the new company and appoint it's directors.

Working groups are in place to consider and recommend different parts of the business improvement district proposal and make progress with initiatives.
